Notably its produced and directed by Thiagarajan put his son prasanth as hero, which  is a remake of his own block buster hit movie Malayur Mambattiyan .  Meera Jasmine plays the lady lead role while Mumaith Khan plays the femme fatale.  The movie also features Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Vadivelu, and Mano Bala in other prominent roles.

The movie is made with a whopping budget of 25 crores.  The shooting of the entire movie took place in Theni, Malaiyur, Kambam, Dindi and other forest regions of South India.  Souces close to the unit confirms that Thaman's music is very promising and expected to rock.  Another added attraction is Silambarasan, who has crooned an item number.  Interestingly this a dream project for both father and son.  Hence they are very excited and thrilled to see it getting materialized.the release date is not offically announced.

Here is the latest we hear from the Vedi crew! The unit was about to fly to South Africa to shoot a song sequence but the latest is that the team will go to Ladakh instead of South Africa. “Schedule mess-up” causes last minute changes in locations, sources say. Meanwhile, the audio of the film is all set to hit the stores from today, 5th September.
There were also reports that the producers of Vedi thought South African schedule would overshoot the budget and finalized Ladakh instead. Vedi has Vishal Krishna and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles. The film is directed by Prabhu Deva and has music by Vijay Antony. Vikram Krishna produces the film under GK Film Corporation Banner.

 It seems Mankatha is having twists not only in silver screen but in reality too.
On monday, it was officially announced that K.E.Gnanavel Raja of "Studio Green" bagged the Indian theatrical & satellite rights of Mankatha from Cloud Nine Movies Dhayanidhi Alagiri. Today's Dinakaran paper too carried an ad stating that Mankatha will be released by Studio Green and in that ads there was no Cloud nine Movies logo or name.
Yesterday, Mankatha was sent to censor board and it got a clean U/A certificate with no cuts. Director Venkat Prabhu tweeted that the censor board officials enjoyed the movie. After censoring, Gnanavel Raja express his happiness about the outcome of the film and announced that the film will hit the screens on Aug 31st. Slated for Aug 31st release, the above said infos created more expectation among Ajith fans and Tamil cinema fans too.
Now arrives yet another interesting twist. Due to some reasons, Studio Green Gnanavel Raja moved out of the deal. and now, Sun Pictures Kalanidhi Maran today bagged the rights of Mankatha from Cloud Nine Movies for a whopping amount. Yes, the Indian theatrical & satellite rights are now finally in the hands of Sun Pictures Kalanidhi Maran. This is the first time ever, Sun Pictures is releasing a Ajith film, that too his 50th.
Surprisingly, Red Giant Movies Udayanidhi Stalin also join hands with them to release Mankatha. Its learnt that evnthough Udhayanidhi Stalin will not be involved in production or distribution, he will be promoting Mankatha to the fullest. This is the first time ever Sun Pictures, Cloud Nine Movies & Red Giant are jointly releasing a film.



AJITH confirms that Mankatha will be released on Aug 31, 2011 as scheduled in all parts of the world except Kerala. And in Kerala, Mankatha hits the screens on Sep 9th.
Rocking promos are to be aired in Sun Network channels very shortly.

Days lefts for  Mankatha to hit the screens the latest to the beat is that the production house  Studio Green is no longer related with Mankatha!  Creating a surprising factor in hearers  enquiries revealed that Sun Pictures are in the skirmish and Mankatha has shifted hands from Studio Green to Sun Pictures. Vettai Mannan is an action thriller featuring Silambarasan a.k.a Simbu criminal a.ka. STR and Diksha Seth in the lead roles and is directed by debutant Nelson, a popular Tamil reality show with distinction. The project is said to be the heroine of one of the three and a waitress is said to play a foreign woman to head.

Nanban Movie Release Date..

Ilayathalapathy Vijay Nanban awaited film shooting was going fast. Director Shankar has recently completed the second schedule of the film in Dehradun.

Directed by  Shankar Nanban features Vijay, Ileana, Jiiva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj, Sathyan and SJ Surayah. As sources of nearly 40 percent of the movie is completed. Music director Harris Jayaraj has already completed three of the six songs on the album.

As sources for a further four months entire shoot of the film is over, and post-production work can begin. Nanban produced by Gemini Film Circuit is expected to be a great festival of Diwali 2011 release.

Osthi is the film which has Simbhu in the lead role. The shooting of the film is in the final stages. Dharani who had directed hit films like Dhil,Dhool, Ghilli and Kuruvi is directing this film. This is the first time Dharani is directing Simbhu. This film is the remake of the super hit Hindi film Dabangg which had Salman Khan in the lead role. Simbhu is donning the role of a majestic police officer. Richa is pairing with Simbhu in this film. The shooting of the film which commenced few months back is coming to an end now. The shooting of the film is taking place in Hosur, Bangalore and Mysore. The film was planned to be completed in 90 days. Because of this the shooting of the film has been going on in top gear. 'Vandhan Vendran' jeeva &tapsee

It looks like Jeeva has no turning back as the kind of films he chooses are literally splendid. Following the huge success of ‘Ko’, the actor has promising projects lined up for release. Just before couple of days, his ‘Rowthiram’ audio was launched in grandeur and this morning it was another fabulous event that marked the music release of ‘Vandhan Vendran’.

Post-success of ‘Jayam Kondan’ and ‘Kanden Kadhalai’, director Kannan has come up with a different genre of film that created the same impact of ‘KO’ with the trailer itself. Three songs ‘Anjana’, ‘Kanchana Mala’ and ‘Mudivilla Mazhaiyodu’and a stunning teaser was more than enough to assure the film’s success.

Originally the film was scheduled for release on 1 May Ajith anniversary of the 2011, but it did not happen because of some official reasons.By when the filming was completed, there was a regime change and producers in need. A few days ago we learned that Cloud Nine is in talks with UTV, but nothing has been completed in this area .. They plan to cash in on the festival season. It may be noted here that the Kerala distributor Diva Pictures announced that the film will be released September 1 8 or Onam great attraction. Vijay snubs Seeman? and Wallpapers of pagalavan

It is well-known that Vijay is on a roll these days. Ever since he tasted success with Kaavalan, the actor has been giving his nods for many top filmmakers' films. While he continues to be on a signing spree, the actor reportedly snubbed Seeman with whom he was supposed to do Pagalvan.

Grapevine has it that Vijay, who had given the green signal to Pagalvan a year ago, has decided to do away with the project. The actor had shown immense interest to act in the revolutionary story but now it looks like he has lost interest in the movie.

It may be recalled that Pagalvan did not take-off on time, as director Seeman was detained for his anti Sri Lankan statement. Later, the movie was put on hold after Vijay started his other signed films. However, the director seems to have completed the script work but the actor's dates are now been blocked by other directors.
The name of film is changed into kobam.it's not offically released.

Silambarasan newest project output delayed starts in 2012. The film, which was postponed several times, shaped by an actor under the guidance, because it has assumed the responsibility to control the Tamil films.

The Varuvaayaa Vinnaithaandi star confirmed the news and said he certainly hit the ground Kettavan next year. He made his decision on the film to start shooting in 2012 and direct the film Simbu.

It may be noted that much since directed by simbu such films as  Manmadhan and Vallavan. While the first film was a blockbuster, the second film was considered a Superhit.

7 Aam Arivu to showcase Tamil tradition to world class and Wallpapers

Surya and AR Murugadoss, who are making 7 Aum Arivu in Hollywood standard, is showcasing the Tamil tradition to the world through their upcoming film. If reports are to be believed, a part of the movie intersects with the 1500-year-old language.

As we reported earlier, the story of the film sets-off with a time machine invented by a scientist, which is played by Shruti Hassan. Her invention unveils the hidden truths, including about the Tamil culture and its ancient connection with the Chinese tradition. When a baddie played by Johnny Tri Nguyen comes to know about the innovation, he tries to steal it away.

The rest of the story is about how Surya protects the machine and show the world about the Tamil tradition. It is said that the time machine gives twists and turns in 7 Aum Arivu. Suriya will be seen in three different roles of a monk, a scientist and a circus artist in the forthcoming flick. It is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin on the banner Red Giant Movies.
